Auditions
Auditions for the 20-21 season will be held via a combination of video submission and virtual meeting. For details, please visit our How to Audition and Frequently Asked Questions pages.
Eligibility
The COYC is open to students entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall of 2020, as well as 8th grade boys with changed voices. Prospective members must typically be able to commit to the full Youth Chorus season, including rehearsal each Sunday from September 2020 through early April 2021. At this time it is not known when we will be able to begin in-person rehearsals.
What to Expect
For the audition, students will:

Perform one prepared solo piece. Acceptable styles are classical, art song, or folk song. An accompanist is provided, and the piece does NOT need to be memorized.

Complete short exercises to demonstrate vocal range.

The audition interview will take about 10 minutes.
