

Daniel J. Singer, Director

Daniel Singer joined the choral conducting staff of The Cleveland Orchestra in 2012 as Assistant Director of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. In 2018, he was named Director of the Youth Chorus and Acting Assistant Director of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. Since 2011, Mr. Singer has served as the Director of Music at University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio, where he conducts orchestra and chorus.
Mr. Singer is active as a guest conductor and clinician, having worked with honor choirs and top student ensembles in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and North Carolina. Mr Singer performs professionally with Quire Cleveland and has sung as baritone soloist with ensembles throughout the region, including The Wooster Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, Choral Arts Cleveland, and the Suburban Symphony of Cleveland. He is also an arranger and composer, having written for choral and instrumental groups throughout the United States.
Mr. From 2003 to 2009 Mr. Singer worked as a performer, music director, and teacher in the Chicago area. Mr. Singer taught high school choral music in the cities of Lincolnshire and Cary and participated in music engagement in the Chicago Public Schools. Mr Singer holds a bachelor of music degree summa cum laude in Choral and Instrumental Music Education from Northwestern University and a master of music degree in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University.
Adam Landry, Acting Assistant Director
Adam Landry serves as Acting Assistant Director of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. He currently teaches music in the Mentor Public School District, directing six high school choirs and an extracurricular show choir, as well as teaching music theory. Mr. Landry also is an active member of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. He has served in many roles with the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), most recently as District VII Secretary/Treasurer and All-State Choir Coordinator. Mr. Landry studied Music Education at Bowling Green State University and the University of Michigan.
