ABOUT THE
YOUTH CHORUS
The Youth Chorus is open to students who will be entering grades 9 through 12 for the 2020-21 school year, as well as 8th grade boys with changing voices.
Choristers are selected through auditions.
The Youth Chorus performs annually
with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, and is regularly called to perform with The Cleveland Orchestra
at Severance Hall and Blossom Music Center. Additionally, the Youth Chorus performs at other community concerts
and events each season.
The ensemble rehearses on Sunday afternoons between September and May - each season varies slightly to accommodate the performance schedule.
The Youth Chorus is committed to fostering an organizational culture of diversity and inclusion.
MEET OUR DIRECTORS
Daniel Singer
Director, Youth Chorus
Daniel Singer joined the choral conducting staff of the Cleveland Orchestra in 2012 as assistant director of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. He was promoted to assistant director of choruses and director of the Youth Chorus with the start of the 2018-19 season.
Mr. Singer holds degrees in music education and conducting from Northwestern University and Michigan State University.
Adam Landry
Assistant Director, Youth Chorus
Adam Landry serves as assistant director of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. He currently teaches music in the Mentor Public School District, directing six high school choirs and teaching music theory.
Mr. Landry studied music education at Bowling Green State University and the University of Michigan.

PERFORMANCES
The Youth Chorus performs annually with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra,
and is regularly called to perform with The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall and Blossom Music Center. Additionally, the Youth Chorus performs annually at other
community events, many of which are free to the public.
